Avesta
The Avesta is the primary collection of religious texts of Zoroastrianism, composed in the Avestan language. It contains the Yasna (liturgical texts, including the oldest Gathas attributed to Zarathustra himself), the Visperad (extensions to the Yasna), the Vendidad (laws and myths), and the Yashts (hymns to individual deities and concepts). The Avesta preserves the dualistic cosmology of Ahura_Mazda vs. Angra_Mainyu, the eschatological vision of Frashokereti, and the soteriology of the Saoshyant.
