Allen Dulles
Allen Welsh Dulles (1893–1969) was the Director of Central Intelligence (1953–1961) and the CIA official who authorized the MKUltra program in April 1953. A former OSS operative and brother of Secretary of State John Foster Dulles, he presided over the Agency during its most aggressive covert operations period. He was removed by President Kennedy after the Bay of Pigs failure (1961).
