Thagirion

Thagirion (“The Disputers” or “The Hagglers”) is the sixth sphere of the Qlippoth, corresponding to and inverting the holy Sefirah, Tiferet.

Tiferet is the central hub of the Tree of Life, representing true beauty, harmony, and the solar, life-giving center. Thagirion, its dark opposite, is the Black Sun. Where Tiferet unifies the opposing forces around it, Thagirion actively creates friction, turning all forces against one another. It is the hollow center—narcissism masquerading as divine authority.

Archetypal and Psychological Expression

  • The Anti-Christ Energy: In contrast to the Dying God or Christ archetypes of Tiferet (who sacrifice the ego to channel divine light), Thagirion represents the ultimate inflation of the ego to replace the divine light. It demands worship without offering salvation.
  • Narcissism and Vanity: Psychologically, it is the pathological need to be the center of the universe. It creates a reality where the individual feeds off the energy of others while giving nothing back.
  • The False Unifier: Just as Tiferet balances severity and mercy, Thagirion balances them only in so far as it needs both forces to sustain its own parasitic existence.
