Gha’agsheblah

Gha’agsheblah (“The Smiters”) is the fourth sphere of the Qlippoth, corresponding to and inverting the holy Sefirah, Chesed.

Chesed is the sphere of pure mercy, benevolence, and boundlessly expansive growth. Gha’agsheblah represents the horrifying extreme of expansion divorced from any organizing purpose. It is the love that smothers, the benevolence that breeds weakness, and the cancer that expands relentlessly without regard for the host.

Archetypal and Psychological Expression

  • The Black Hole of “Love”: Psychologically, Gha’agsheblah manifests as a pathological need to consume others under the guise of caring for them. It is boundaryless expansion that annihilates individuality.
  • The Pompous Tyrant: Mirroring the Jupiterian attributes of Chesed, this sphere produces the swollen, pompous ruler whose “gifts” and “mercy” are entirely designed to crush their subjects under the weight of unpayable debts and forced dependency.
  • Uncontrolled Metastasis: If creation is to be healthy, growth must be pruned by Gevurah. By defying all restriction, Gha’agsheblah expands until everything suffocates.
