Ascended Master

An Ascended Master is, in Theosophical and related New Age traditions, a spiritually enlightened being who has completed the cycle of incarnation and individuation, transcended the physical plane, and now guides humanity’s evolution from higher dimensions. The concept originates in Blavatsky’s Mahatmas — the hidden masters (Morya, Koot Hoomi, Djwal Khul) with whom she claimed telepathic communication.

The Ascended Master is the Rubedo personified: a being who has completed the Great Work and now functions as a transmuting agent for others — the Philosopher’s Stone in human form.
